AU has been working on implementing a secure system for the storage of sensitive and confidential research data. This system goes by the name of SIF, an acronym for Sensitive Information Facility. SIF has been meticulously designed to safeguard sensitive and confidential data and it meets all the standards outlined by AU, Danish law, and the EU for such a system.
SIF has been comprehensively vetted and approved by AU IT. Subsequently, the individual faculties at AU have initiated a gradual rollout, accompanied by a systematic introduction of the system into the research ecosystem.
The management team at Arts has constituted a working group to oversee this rollout. The group comprises the members Ole Jensen, Jesper Sølund Hansen, Erik Hein Møller, Simon Baghlani Reffsøe, and Per Møldrup-Dalum.
A local rollout of SIF has now commenced with a select group of researchers who uses sensitive or confidential data in their research projects. These researchers will be personally introduced to the SIF and will receive assistance in familiarising themselves with its usage. Later, during 2024, a general rollout will be initiated.
